1945	born in Bad Elster/Vogtland, Germany
1962–65	apprenticeship as a merchandising designer at Oelsnitz/Vogtland, Germany
1967–72	study at the Academy of Graphics & Book Art in Leipzig, at Prof. Wolfgang Mattheuer and Prof. Werner Tübke
1972	Diploma as painter of art and graphics member in the Association of Visual Artist (GDR)
1973–74	Teaching at the Professional School for Applied Art in Schneeberg/Ore Mountains
1974–75	senior assistant at the Academy for Visual Art Berlin/Weißensee—master class student at Prof. Werner Tübke
since 1976	freelance as painter of art and graphic artist in Karl-Marx-Stadt/Chemnitz
1990	member in Federal Association of Artists of Fine Art
1997	relocation to Niederlichtenau (near Chemnitz, Germany)
until 2022	work on the last 49 panel paintings
